Love NY

There are sooo-o-o-o many, many things to see and do in New York City. There are sports events, theater productions, museums, historical sites, ...

For the past four years, the author of Scouting New York  has worked as a New York City location scout - he finds locations for movies. He's seen almost everything in NYC, from the highest rooftops to the deepest subway tunnels, from abandoned ruins to luxury penthouse apartments.
He says,   "What always amazes me about New York is how much there is to see if you pay attention. Every street has a hidden gem or two, and yet they go largely ignored by thousands of passersby daily who simply don’t have the time to look around them."
Looking around is his job, and he writes Scouting New York  to keep a record of what he sees.
(Take a look at his Favorites tab and don't miss his "Must See" guide to NYC.)
New York is the epitome of a cosmopolitan city. One of the world's biggest, it saw immigrants arrive from all over the world, chasing freedom, their fortune and the American dream. New York continues to attract and fascinate. The city created a new model of urban planning with towers and blocks of buildings, constant traffic, stores and adverts. All these innovations that made the city attractive also contributed to the increase in its inhabitants' consumption of energy and material goods.
